The Story The Old Fashioned wasn’t always old. During the mid 1800s the drink was certainly fashionable, known simply as a ‘Whiskey Cocktail’ consisting of whiskey, sugar, water and bitters. Toward the end of the 1800s, amid the popularity of new and exotic cocktail ingredients, bartenders tweaked the established formula of the Whiskey Cocktail. This provoked an older generation to demand the ‘Old Fashioned’ version, unknowingly cementing an enduring name. |

The Serve Ready to Stir. Pour into a mixing glass with ice and stir briskly for 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled tumbler with ice and garnish with the zest of an orange.
